Former Saints player John Connolly was interviewed by Gordon Bannerman ahead of his induction into the club Hall of Fame on Sunday evening.
John Connolly played at Muirton Park between 1968 and 1972 making 133 appearances and scoring 55 goals. He was an integral part of Willie Ormond’s legendary team which reached the 1969 League Cup final, losing 1-0 to Jock Stein’s Celtic side packed with Lisbon Lions. He sparkled in the club’s first ever foray into Europe, when the scalps included Hamburg, and the record books credit Muirton’s golden boy with two UEFA Cup goals.
